Step 1: Preparing your horse's hair
To begin, We advise taking both mane and tail hair, gathering as much as possible to ensure ample choice. While it might be the last thing on your mind during difficult goodbyes, having a good quantity is always beneficial. For jewellery, We specifically recommend using tail hair due to its length, thickness and durability. When cutting, aim as close to the dock as possible and secure the top with a band to keep it tidy and workable for us.
Step 2: Choosing your unique design
Once your precious hair arrives, it is immediately placed in an individual file, guaranteeing it never gets mixed with anyone else's. We work on one order at a time to ensure complete focus. We are delighted to discuss your vision and help you personalise your jewellery, offering a range of bespoke pieces alongside our standard items to create something truly special for you.
Step 3: Processing your order with care
After your hair is received and your design is chosen, We complete all necessary paperwork to formalise your order. Your horse's hair is then securely stored in its individual file, ensuring its safety and integrity. Our commitment to working on only one order at a time means your unique piece receives our undivided attention and meticulous craftsmanship.
Step 4: Receiving your finished keepsake
Once your exquisite jewellery has been meticulously crafted, you'll have the choice of a beautifully presented gift-boxed service or our standard tissue wrap and organza bag. Crucially, all unused hair, including any off-cuts, will be carefully returned to you with your chosen postage option, ensuring you receive every precious strand back.
